1870 – 1880 Cavalry Officer Pillbox Hat
Through the 1870’s and well into the 1880’s some officers adopted the British style pillbox hat, though a non regulation hat, both the Army and Cavalry adopted the hat. It was not as ridged as the British pattern and modelled with a gold chin strap over the top and two US Eagle buttons on either side with a branch of service in gold bullion wire.
Please state branch of service. This is supplied separately to attach yourself.
