1st Virginia Cavalry Shell Jacket

At the outset of the war in 1861 this became the standard shell jacket for the 1st Virginia Cavalry.  Though worn with a black slouch hat with a plume and grey trousers with a black strip down the outside seams as an NCO.

Made out of 16 oz wool with black facings and black lacing down the front, with CSA buttons and fully lined in cotton.
