This style badge was the “dress badge” as opposed to the “work badge” of legendary Oklahoma lawman Bill Tilghman. Along with Tilghman, were Heck Thomas and Chris Madsen. These men were known as the “Three Guardsmen” of the Oklahoma Territory.
